PLEXR (Plasma excision): non-surgical blepharoplasty

The PLEXR is a revolutionary new non-invasive technique to treat drooping upper eyelids.

 

The treatment protocol needs the application, 45 minutes before the act, of an anesthetic cream on the area to treat. The PLEXR is then passed over the skin surface. An electric arc vaporizes the responsible skin excess. There is no incision or bleeding, no injury of surrounding tissue and no risk of deformation of the eye.

The session lasts about twenty minutes during which the patient feels a slight heat.

 

The number of sessions depends on the amount of skin excess. They vary from 1 to 4. It‘s necessary to wait one month between each session. The patient has to avoid sun exposure the month before and the month after the session, just like a laser session. That is why tanned skin or skin type V (black) are the main impediment to this treatment.

 

The results are spectacular, natural, and are acquired within a week after the disappearance of the small crusts. There is no downtime because the crust can be masked with a cream or hidden by sunglasses.

The Asian patients wishing to europeanize the eyes without surgery may use this technique with the vaporization of epicanthus.
